Senior Product Manager
Vovici, the leading provider of Enterprise Feedback Management solutions, is seeking a Senior Product Manager to work at our headquarters located in our Dulles, Virginia office. This dynamic organization offers a fast paced environment with potential for growth.
The Senior Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and execution of all phases of the product lifecycle. This includes developing business cases, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, helping to define the product vision and roadmap, and working closely with engineering to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The candidate must have multiple examples of recent market and functional requirements that they have authored within the past 12 months.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver market and functional requirements with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Assess competitive strengths and weaknesses of Vovici product suite and prioritize product enhancements accordingly
- Monitor and prioritize bug fixes and “fast track” enhancements for the development team
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
- Be an expert with respect to the competition
- Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
- Perform product demos to customers; present roadmap and solicit enhancement requests from customer base
- Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
- Manage Vovici product advisory council web site
- Brief and train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings
- Manage external contractors and third-party firms to define and fulfill product requirements
Required experience and knowledge:
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in product management
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products (mix of enterprise and consumer product experience a plus)
- 2+ years of experience developing web-based, SaaS solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience constructing financially-backed business cases.
- Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred)
- Strong understanding of web-based technologies. Technical background preferred
- Familiarity with managing agile development lifecycles a plus
- Familiarity with market research concepts. Experience working in a market research capacity preferred.
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
