GLORIA BECERRAGrades of children: Emani - Grade 4; Emara - Grade 2 ; Emaya - Grade K
Years at Spanger: 5 years
Personal experiences related to education/school/children: Although I have been in health care for over 20years, the last 10years have been specifically devoted to pediatrics where we have partnered with several local agencies to educated children on several different topics such as, the importance of staying in school, learning to balance home, school and after school activities as well as diabetic and asthma management.
Reason for running for Site Council: Second to family, school has the greatest responsibility to our children. My interest in the council is to help represent the families who want the best possible education and overall school experience for their children

WILLIAM GRAVESGrades of children: 1st Grade and Preschool in September.
Years at Spanger School: 1
Personal experiences related to education/school/children: I’ve taught Sunday school and led youth groups for over 20 years, and I’ve been helping in Abby’s class this past year.
Reason for running for council: Education has always been a high priority for me, and it’s even higher with one child at Spanger, and another on the way. It’s always important for parents’ voices to be heard. If I can, in any small way, help shape the future of Spanger school, then the effect is on more than my children. It’s an effect that can ripple for generations to come.

ERIK JEPPSONGrades of children: My son is in first grade
Years at Spanger: My son has been at Spanger for all of his first grade, so just under a year.
Personal experiences related to education/school/children: I have completed over 9 units of early childhood education classes in college and have worked and volunteered for my mother’s school in Covina, CA which is a non-profit school for children with special needs from the ages of new-born to five years. I have also volunteered hundreds of hours at A.R.C. for their Saturday day camp in Los Angeles as well. I have worked with children for some time and feel I would make a great addition to the Spanger Council.
Reason for running for Site Council: The reason for running for council is because I would like to become more involved with my son’s education and as well with the Roseville school system and community. I would like to help make a difference for our children's future as well. There are parents that either don't get involved or they are too busy, I however have the little extra time that it would take to help and would love to do so.
