Like Don, I spend time not only researching and speaking about the Net Generation but also about “Next Generation Enterprises” ( or NGE's ) as we call them at nGenera. In fact, that’s the derivation of our name “N GEN ERA” for the next generation era. It’s an era that is newly underway and in which people and organizations will experience a much greater intensity of collaboration. For some, especially those preceding the Net Generation, this may be an especially challenging time. Management practices will be different. And we believe the expectations of professionals in the workforce will be fundamentally and irrevocably changed: talent and resources will be sourced and deployed on demand; co-creation and transparency will transform the customer experience; and leadership will be continuously realigning and innovating. Assessing your readiness is part of the purpose of this assessment. The other part is to give you some suggested resources to improve your knowledge and skills – either to better lead or participate in your own NGE.
